Featured a panel of seven experts working “on the ground” as farmers or in cutting-edge farm support programs in the Hudson Valley discussed questions such as, What are the challenges currently facing farms? What are the opportunities for education? Research? New farm technologies? Panelists: Jean-Paul Courtens, the Hudson Valley Farm Hub’s Associate Director for Farmer Training, Elizabeth Higgins from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County, Sara Grady of Glynwood, and a varied group of farmers including Pete Taliaferro, Charles Hurd, Anna Elbon, and Charles Noble. Following presentations, dialog and Q&A, forum participants engaged in roundtable discussions focused on the issues and reported back to the group.
