Paul is director emeritus of Mohonk Preserve‘s Daniel Smiley Research Center (DSRC). He worked with Dan Smiley from 1974 until Dan’s death in 1989, when Paul assumed the role of the Preserve’s director of research. During his nearly 40-year career at the DSRC, Paul has made science accessible to thousands of Preserve visitors and Mohonk Mountain House guests through his engaging lectures, educational nature walks, and DSRC tours.
